Willie Bradley, 61, husband of Johnnie “Jeanette” Baker Bradley, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center, Sumter. Born in Lee County on Feb. 9, 1951, he was the son of the late James Bradley Jr. and Lottie Wilson Bradley.

“Buddah,” as he was affectionately known, attended Lincoln High School and St. Jude’s Catholic High School. He was a member of Union Station AME Church. He got to know God as his personal savior.

He was employed by Nilson Van and Storage for many years as a warehouse manager. Later on in life he had various jobs. He worked in pulpwood, as a heating and air-conditioning technician and for a lawn care and moving company. He was good at whatever he did.

Willie was a loving, caring person. Those of you who knew him, you had to love him. He was very easy to love. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking and entertaining. When going to their house, he would cook and make anything taste good and would put a whole lot of love in those pots.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanette Bradley of the home; two sisters, Katie Mae Gibson and Tamalia Witherspoon, both of Sumter; three brothers, Alfred (Colette) Bradley, Bobby (Gloria) Bradley, both of Sumter, and Harry Lee Bradley of New York, N.Y.; his mother-in-law, Lottie Baker of Sumter; two aunts; an uncle; two special friends, Mike Jones and Freddie Bracey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul “Ricky” Bradley; his paternal grandparents, James and Katie Weston Bradley; maternal grandparents, Enoch and Charlotte Toney Wilson; and father-in-law, Lucious Baker.
