WILLIE MCCRAY

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019, Willie McCray, husband of Josephine Thompson McCray, departed this life at his residence.

Born on Jan. 15, 1935, in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Cubit Sr. and Bertha Williams McCray.

A service celebrating his life will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Church of God By Faith, 1071 Loss Brook Road, Davis Station, where the pastor, Minister Tonie Mellette, will preside. The Rev. Bertha McCray Scott, associate pastor of Greater St. Mark Church of Alcolu, will bring words of encouragement. The service of committal will follow in the McCray family plot located at the Church of God By Faith Cemetery.

Public viewing will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.

The family is receiving relatives and friends from 3 to 8 p.m. at the residence, 335 Old Manning Road, Sumter.
