WILLIE SOWELL JR.

MANNING - Willie Sowell Jr., 82, husband of Sadie Johnson Sowell, died on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville.

He was a son of the late Willie Sr. and Genova Mungo Sowell.

Masonic rites will be held for Mr. Sowell from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 105 Dinkins St., Manning, with the Rev. George P. Windley, pastor, officiating, the Rev. Terry Johnson, the Rev. Leroy McElveen, the Rev. Joe Roberts and the Rev. Herman Holland assisting. Burial will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia, on Tuesday.

The family is receiving friends at his residence, 4 Collins St., Manning.
