SIMPSONVILLE - Wilma Margaret Ford Dudley, 85, of Simpsonville, died in her sleep on Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, after a long illness.

Born April 29, 1925, in Mars Hill, Maine, to the late William Sidney and Anna Beatrice Currie Ford, she was the widow of Carroll Edward Dudley. After his retirement from the Air Force, they made their home in Sumter, where she was a member of Bible Fellowship Church and Sumter Bible Church. Following their move to Simpsonville, she became a member of Beth Haven Baptist Church.

She was devoted to her family and was known for sharing her love for the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Predeceased by brothers, Ralph E. Ford and Horace W. Ford, and a sister, Mary F. Bell, she is survived by brothers, Charles Vernon Ford and William S. Ford; a sister, Glenna F. Pillsbury; her children, Susan Glenna Dudley Johnson of Enoree, Stephen Carroll Dudley and his wife, Jan, of Cayce and Sharon Margaret Dudley Fogle and her husband, Terry, of New Mexico; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the many dedicated professionals of Greenville Hospital System and NHC Mauldin who took such good care of her in recent months.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Beth Haven Baptist Church immediately followed at noon by the funeral service. Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Bible Fellowship Church, 227 Broad St., Sumter, SC 29150 and Beth Haven Baptist Church, 721 Neely Ferry Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
