Wilson Hall volleyball picks up 20th win of season

Wilson Hall's varsity volleyball team picked up its 20th win of the season on Thursday with a 3-1 victory over Hammond at Nash Student Center.

The Barons, who are 20-8, won by the scores of 19-25, 25-6, 25-16, 25-10.

Wilson Hall's varsity volleyball team picked up its 20th win of the season on Thursday with a 3-1 victory over Hammond at Nash Student Center.

The Barons, who are 20-8, won by the scores of 19-25, 25-6, 25-16, 25-10.

Andi Grae Wingate led WH with nine kills. Camryn Bateman and Madison DesChamps both had 12 assists, while Abbie Beatson had 14 digs. Sarah Cain had three kills and a service point.

MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL

Tournament today at SHS

The Sumter Middle School Conference volleyball team will be held today beginning at 9 a.m. at the Sumter High School gymnasiums.

The three quarterfinal matches will be played simultaneously beginning at 9. The semifinal matches will be played simultaneously beginning at approximately 10 followed by the championship match at approximately 11.

Top seed Alice Drive will receive a bye in the quarterfinals. The quarterfinal matches will have No. 2 Hillcrest facing No. 7 Furman, No. 3 Bates meeting No. 6 R.E. Davis and No. 4 Ebenezer taking on No. 5 Chestnut Oaks.

Alice Drive will take on the Ebenezer-Chestnut Oaks winner in one of the semifinals with the other two quarterfinal winners facing each other.

Hillcrest Middle School closed its regular season with a 9-3 record after a 3-0 victory over R.E. Davis on Thursday.

The Lady Wildcats won by the scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-8.

Kee Kee Davis led HMS with 12 points and three kills. JerNira Alston had seven points and Mylese Bondurant had six points.

Cardinal Newman 6

COLUMBIA - Wilson Hall improved to 5-1 with a 42-6 victory over Cardinal Newman on Thursday at the CN field.

Dylan Richardson ran for 53 yards and a touchdown and had 50 yard receiving and a touchdown to lead the Barons. He also connected on six extra points and had five tackles on defense.

Cameron Coulter ran for 63 yards and a score and had 50 yards passing and a TD pass. He also had five tackles.

Clark Kinney ran for 45 yards and two touchdowns and had an interception, and Miles Van Patten had six tackles and returned an interception 55 yards for a TD.
