Winners of Mary Hinson Flower Show announced

The Council of Garden Clubs of Sumter is pleased to announce the winners of the second-annual Mary Hinson Flower Show held April 17-19 at Sumter County Gallery of Art.

The Council of Garden Clubs of Sumter is affiliated with National Garden Clubs, one of two nationally recognized garden clubs in the U.S. Sumter has two active garden clubs: Poinsett-Bland and Azalea Garden Clubs. This show was a labor of love, and many members of both clubs put in numerous volunteer hours in setup and entering both the Design Division and Horticulture Division. General chair was Patricia Fernandez, and schedule and horticulture organizer was Gay Nelson.

For the Design Division, each designer's arrangement responded to a painting by renowned artist Brian Rutenberg. The winners of the Design Division and the Horticulture Division are listed below.
