Wolverines shut out Scott's Branch 39-0

SUMMERTON – The East Clarendon High School varsity football team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 39-0 victory over Scott’s Branch on Friday at Spann Stadium.
The Eagles dropped to 0-2.
The Wolverines travel to Aynor next week, while Scott’s Branch visits Bamberg-Ehrhardt.

SUMMERTON – Clarendon Hall opened its season by defending SCISA 8-man state champion Beaufort Academy 50-22 on Friday at Lonnie Robinson Field.
The Saints will play at Holly Hill next week.

MARTINEZ, Ga. – Laurence Manning Academy opened its season and play in SCISA 3A with a 28-16 victory over Augusta Christian School on Friday at the ACS field.
LMA plays host to defending SCISA 2A state champion Florence Christian School next week.

BISHOPVILLE – Lee Central High School evened its record at 1-1 with a 14-13 victory over C.E. Murray on Friday at Stallions Stadium.
Lee Central will play at Timmonsville next week.

MULLINS – Robert E. Lee Academy went to 2-0 with a 21-7 win over Pee Dee Academy on Friday at the PDA field.
REL will be at home against Dillon Christian next week.

DALZELL – Thomas Sumter Academy fell to 0-2 with a 46-12 loss to Spartanburg Christian on Friday at General Field.
TSA travels to Trinity-Byrnes next week.

DALZELL – Wilson Hall improved to 6-4 with a 3-0 victory over Thomas Sumter Academy on Thursday at Edens Gymnasium.
The Lady Barons won by the scores of 25-17, 25-12, 25-22.
Abbie Beatson led WH with 20 digs and four aces. Lucy Matthews had 10 kills and Gracyn Coker had eight kills.

MIDDLE SCHOOL FOOTBALL
Scrimmages today at Hillcrest
A multi-team middle school football scrimmage will be held on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at Donald L. Crolley Memorial Stadium in Dalzell.
The schools in the tri-county area participating are Hillcrest, Ebenezer, Chestnut Oaks, Scott’s Branch, R.E. Davis, Alice Drive and Furman.
Admission is $5 per person.
