Agnes "Mickey" McKenzie Weatherly, 88, widow of Philip T. Weatherly Sr., took her first breath of heaven on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024.

Born in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late David Rush McKenzie and Alene Lilly Grooms McKenzie. Mrs. Weatherly was a member of Fraser Memorial Presbyterian Church and a retired operator at General Telephone.

Surviving are three daughters, Phyllis Dixon of Sumter, Cindy Rogers (Bob) of Martinez, Georgia, and Stacy Mathis (Wayne) of Manning; a son, Philip Thomas Weatherly Jr. (Vicky) of Little River; three sisters, Vendola "Dinky" Russell and Travis Mims (Bobby), both of Sumter, and Martha McClard (Chip) of Aiken; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Fullard Carter.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Staggs officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Weatherly, Steven Carter, L.C. Evans, Preston Evans, Cameron Carter and Anthony Ford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Weatherly and Kenny Newman.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home prior to the service.
