ANTHONY BELL

Anthony Bell, son of James Anthony Polite and Norma Jean Bell, was born on Oct. 14, 1985, in Manning. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia.
He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Anthony loved his siblings and spending time with his brother. He accepted Christ at an early age at Greenhill Baptist Church in Alcolu.
Anthony was preceded in death by his brother, James Bell; his maternal grandparents, Ruth Bell Bradford and James Hayes; and his paternal grandparents, Willie and Molly Polite.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Norma Jean (Kevin) Bell; his father, James Polite; one sister, Denise (Torrey) Bell; one brother, Kenneth (Christine) Bell; six aunts, Janette (Sylvester) Polite, Joeann Wilson, Barbara (Christopher) Snider, Carol Sheriod, Cindy (Blanding) Goines and Etta (Freddie) Stuckey; three uncles, Mark Bell, Ricky Bell and Robert Polite; two nieces; three nephews; three great nieces; three great nephews; and a host of great aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home 46B Highland Avenue, Sumter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc. with Prophetess Barbara Snider officiating.
The procession will leave the home at 12:20 p.m.
Burial will be in the Congruity Presbyterian Church Yard Cemetery, 3750 Congruity Road, Gable.
