A Second Chance Animal Shelter's Fall Crafts, Food Truck and Pet Photo Extravaganza will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, in Downtown Manning. Live entertainment. Rain or shine. Call (803) 473-7075 for more information.
The Sumter Branch NAACP office will offer rides to the polls from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8. The office is located at 110 S. Sumter St.
The Sumter Marine Corps League Detachment 1202 will celebrate the 247th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps with a birthday ball from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, at the Restaurant at Second Mill (located at Quality Inn hotel), 2390 Broad St. All area Marines and their guests are invited to attend. Attendees can order dinner and drinks from the menu and pay as they go. The oldest and youngest Marines in attendance will be honored. The 12th Annual Silver Bells Art and Craft Show will be held 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, and noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at the American Legion Building, 30 S. Artillery Drive. Free parking and free admission. Please bring a non-perishable food item to help support United Ministries. For every three food items you donate, your name will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card. Event is sponsored by and will also help support KAT's Special Kneads Animal Shelter. The 70th Annual Holiday House Tour, hosted by the Council of Garden Clubs of Sumter, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3. The holiday house locations include 255 Freedom Blvd., 136 Tucson Drive, 115 Nash St. and 32 Frank Clarke St. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at any tour home.
