BARBARA ANN GEDDINGS

PINEWOOD - Barbara Ann Geddings, 84, widow of Wilson Eugene Geddings, died on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, at her home.

Born on May 7, 1939, in High Point, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James Olin Johnson and Mattie Irene Tolson Johnson. She was a member of Pinewood Baptist Church and a retired teacher's assistant.

She is survived by three children, Patricia Geddings Fricker of Wedgefield, Jerry Geddings Sr. of Sumter and Rose Henderson (Raymond) of Pinewood; siblings, Miriam Windham of Lancaster, Kathy Johnson, Donald Johnson of Sumter and Paul Johnson of Sumter; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph Geddings and Danny Geddings; and her brothers, Clarence Johnson, Delmar Johnson, Thomas Johnson and Errol Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Hal Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.
