CHARLES JOSEPH RADCLIFFE

MANNING - Charles Joseph "Chuck" Radcliffe, 70, husband of Terry Amerson Radcliffe, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, at his home.

Born on Sept. 13, 1953, in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Lynn Leonard Radcliffe Sr. and Carolyn Moore Radcliffe. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Mr. Radcliffe was a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Sumter Elks Lodge. He retired from E.I. DuPont after 30 years of service and then from H.L.B. Services.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years; two children, Joseph Chad Radcliffe (Rachel) of Crab Orchard, Tennessee, and Stacie Atkinson (Zach) of Sumter; four grandchildren, Cade, Riley, Ryder and Harper; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Bonnette of Sumter; an aunt, Vera Odom of Sumter; and several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lynn Leonard "Lindy" Radcliffe Jr.

A graveside service will be held at noon today in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Massey and the Rev. Tommy Atkinson officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside and other times at the home.
