CHARLES R. SMITH JR.

Charles Roland Smith Jr., 75, husband of Sharon Rose Wilson Smith, died on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Born in Galesburg, Illinois, he was a son of the late Charles Roland Smith Sr. and Sarah Marie Williams Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired U.S. Navy senior chief petty officer.

Surviving are his wife of Sumter; a brother, Curtis Smith of Florida; and a sister, Annette Jeffery of Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca with the Rev. Terry Swiney officiating.
