MANNING — Clyde A. White, 70, husband of Elsie Bryant White, died on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, at his home.

Born on Dec. 28, 1947, in Columbia, he was a son of the late Harvey Routh White and the late Eula Mae Odum White. He retired from Black River Electric Coop. with 31 years of service. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Surviving besides his wife of Manning are a son, Shane White (Susan) of Manning; four brothers, Layton White of Swansea, Danny White (Dorothy) of Manning, Jamie White of Columbia and Calvin White of Manning; two sisters, Darnell Smith (Simon) of Rock Hill and Darlene Amick (Ronnie) of Columbia; three grandchildren, Cody Schuhly, Kyle Schuhly (Sara) and Brooke Kee (Alex); three great-grandchildren, Ayden, Xan and Rose; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura White; and two brothers, Johnny White and Bill White.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Hodge officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Richard White, Matt Amick, Billy Bryant, Phillip Lovelady, David Lovelady, Brian Keith and Landon Keith.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 1327 Sweatt Road, Manning.
