CLYDE DELEON RHYNE JR.

Clyde DeLeon Rhyne Jr., 83, husband of Dr. Linda Hunter Rhyne, died on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at his home.

Born on April 28, 1940, in Mooresville, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Clyde DeLeon Rhyne Sr. and Chalma Stonestreet Rhyne.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth Gregory Rhyne Sr. (Araceli) and Christopher Hunter Rhyne; one daughter, Beth Rhyne Best; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Craig H. Rhyne; and one sister, Chalma Lindler.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Rhyne.

Graveside service will be held at noon on Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens in Mt. Pleasant.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at J. Henry Stuhr Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
