DAVID CARROLL DUBOSE SR.

David Carroll DuBose Sr., 49, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024.

Born on Nov. 4, 1974, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Dave Carroll DuBose and Nancy Lloyd DuBose. He was a member of Green Acres Assembly of God and was a self-employed construction worker. He was a Green Bay Packers fan and loved to hunt and fish with his son.

Survivors include a son, David Carroll "Peanut" DuBose Jr. and his mother, Lynn DuBose Barwick of Sumter; two brothers, John DuBose (Shelley) of Sumter and Lee DuBose (Nikki) of Newberry; special cousins, Liz and Chuck Bourgeois, Angie Dalton and Lynzette and Melody Flowers; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa DuBose.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Green Acres Assembly of God with the Rev. Michael Bowman officiating. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Irick, Michael Taylor, Jason Capell, John DuBose, Lee DuBose and Brandon DuBose.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday at Green Acres Assembly of God and other times at the home of his son, 19 Hilltop St.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
