ERIC SHANE ESQUIVEL

DALZELL - Eric Shane Esquivel, age 39, left our mortal plane into the spiritual on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024, at his home in Dalzell.

He is survived by his son, Eric Jr. "EJ"; Jennifer M. Carciofini, EJ's mother; and Eric's parents, Andrea C. Stanley and Michael FM Wade.

Born on July 14, 1984, at Edwards Air Force Base in California, he spent most of his youth in Mississippi attending various educational stages and sports. He was bright and had an attitude for learning, receiving athletic and outstanding citizenship awards for his school participation. After completing junior high, Eric moved to Yorktown, Virginia, where he attended Tabb High School. Here he revealed his educational talent - receiving accolades from faculty and the National Honor Roll, the National Society of High School Scholars and Who's Who Among American High School Students.

After graduating, he decided to apply himself to home construction / refurbishing and landscape operations. He continued to work in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia until an opportunity presented itself to attend college in Sumter. Eric obtained a two-year certificate training in welding, learning the various techniques of gas, oxyacetylene, arc welding, pipe welding, plasma cutting and more. In addition, he completed training and received a permit to transport and sell nonferrous metals. Eric remained in the Sumter area and continued to work in the construction field as an independent contractor. During his stay in South Carolina, he met Jennifer. During their 10 years together, Eric Jr. was born on Halloween 2015. Eric, Jennifer and EJ remained together up to Eric's death.

Private services will be held at a later date.
