HAROLD DEAN SELF

Harold Dean Self, 89, husband of Sarah "Bobbie" Taylor Self, died on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, at McLeod Health Clarendon Hospital in Manning.

Born in Rome, Georgia, he was a son of the late Dewey and Ruth Crawford Chapman. Mr. Self was a retired U.S. Air Force chief master sergeant and traveled extensively over the world while serving his country. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, loving husband and father.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Douglas Self; a daughter, Donna E. Self Snyder (Mark); four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the Sumter Cemetery with the Rev. Walt Phillips officiating.
