INEZ GAYLE CROOM

Inez Gayle Croom, 96, widow of Henry Croom, was born on Aug. 19, 1927, in Sumter, a daughter of the late Joe Jr. and Elsie Brunson Gayle. She departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, at Sumter East Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sumter.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Wayman Chapel AME Church, 160 N. Kings Highway, Sumter, SC 29154 with the Rev. Robert L. China Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Wayman Chapel AME Church Cemetery, Sumter, SC 29154.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. daily at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Addison, 4255 Cobblestone Road, Sumter, SC 29154.

Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
