JOHN HENRY THOMAS JR.

John Henry Thomas Jr., 75, husband of 47 years to Beverley Roberts Thomas, died on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at their home, after a brief illness.

He retired from Sumter School District 2.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Sherry Garris (Rod), and his nephew, Clayton Garris.

He was predeceased by his only child, Johnna Elizabeth "Babs" Thomas, and a brother, Donald Casey Thomas.

Special thanks to Kathy Roberts Keith and Lukie Keith for their neverending love and support.

The family wishes to thank Visiting Angels (Lisa) and Tuomey Home Healthcare, and especially Prisma Tuomey Hospice (Tammy and her team).

Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
