JOHNNIE LEE WADE

Johnnie Lee Wade was born on Dec. 17, 1957, a son of the late Virginia and Edward Wade Sr. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

He was employed by Wick Construction Co. of Columbia.

He leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife, Katherine Pollard Wade; a daughter, Forlessa Pollard; two sons, Derrick Pollard and Jonathan (Ebony) Pollard; two brothers, Albertus (Dorothy) Wade and Carl (Berthina) Wade, all of Rembert; one sister, Carolyn (Billy) Lloyd of Sumter; grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Wade; and a sister, Nettie Dennis.

Public viewing will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. today.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at noon Saturday in the chapel of Sumter Funeral Service Inc. with Dr. Lewis Walker Jr. officiating. Burial will following at Bradford Cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the home, 6385 Dinkins Mills Road, Rembert.

The staff of Sumter Funeral Services Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
