Sumter High School Junior Civitans pick up 1,000 pounds of trash

More than 30 volunteers with the Sumter High School Junior Civitans and Junior Civitans from Crestwood participated in a litter cleanup along McCrays Mill Road recently, spending two hours picking up more than 75 bags and 1,000 pounds of trash from the area. This was their second cleanup of the area. The next Sumter community litter cleanup event will be on Saturday, Feb. 17. Sign up to participate at www.sumtersc.gov/litter.
