DALZELL - Kenneth G. Floyd, 89, widower of Daisy C. Floyd, died on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on March 26, 1934, in Cherokee Falls, he was a son of the late Milledge D. and Myrtle Blanton Floyd. He was the owner of Ken's Auto Service. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a Free Mason, a member of the Buffalo Lodge 202 In Blacksburg, a Shriner, and member of the Scottish Rites.

Survivors include four grandchildren, Megan Lowder (Justin), Kenny Zeigler (Maeghan), Troy Zeigler and Richard Floyd (Alanah); great-granddaughters, Daisy J. Floyd, Alydia Hyde and Trynity Lowder; a brother, Milledge D. Floyd Jr.; a sister, Margaret Thorne; and a daughter-in-law, Ann Wilson Floyd.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Millie D. Boyce; a son, Kevin G. Floyd; two brothers, Herman Floyd and Jack Floyd; and three sisters, Blanche Raienes, Geraldine Dixon and Sherard Martin.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with Phillip Beacham officiating.
