LILLIE MAE DUBOSE

Lillie Mae DuBose, 87, widow of Willimon "Boy" DuBose, departed this life on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at her home.

Born on Nov. 8, 1930, in Bishopville, she was a daughter of the late James McDuffie and Maggie McBride. She joined Unionville AME Church at an early age, where she served as a choir member, missionary, stewardess (board number two) and trustee.

She leaves to cherish her memories: eight children, Lawrence Davis, Loretta (the Rev. Larry) Clark of Sumter, Ruth Lee Davis, Rickey Davis and Larry Davis of Mayesville, Emma J. Nedd, Annette Davis and Victoria M. DuBose of the home; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 47 Mount Sinai Church Road, Mayesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Unionville AME Church, 1330 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville, with the Rev. Alvin E. Webb, pastor, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.

The funeral procession will leave at 10:20 a.m. from the home.

Burial will be at Unionville AME Churchyard Cemetery.
