Mary Ann Branham Thompson, age 77, beloved wife of the late Roy Lee “Tommy” Thompson, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at her residence.

Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Jamerson Branham and Eulay Mae Thigpen Branham. Ann worked as a hair stylist at Styles By Steve as well as her own shop in Palmetto Towers for many years. She was such a loving soul with a fun personality who never met a stranger. Ann loved to cook, she enjoyed music, karaoke, dancing and playing Bunco. She was also one who enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. Her true joy in life came from spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, companion and friend. Ann will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving to cherish her memory are six sons, Tracy Thompson, Cliff Hardin, both of Sumter, Scott Carlson of Summerville, Stephone Knight of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Sam Parkinson of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Faisal Afify of Irmo; one brother, Heyward Branham and wife, Cindy, of Bishopville; companion, Curtis Coker of Sumter; two grandchildren, Skylar Carlson and Kambry Carlson; special niece, Bridget Ann Branham of Virginia; and numerous close friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Branham, and a nephew, Jamie Branham.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 4 p.m. in Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Osteen officiating. The burial will follow the service in Piedmont Cemetery in Bishopville.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.
