MATTHEW HILTON JR.

Funeral services for Matthew Hilton Jr. will be held at noon on Monday at Society Hill AME Church, 1030 Morello Road, Manning, with Nathaniel Kendrick, pastor, and Elder James H. Jackson III, eulogist. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

A public viewing will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the mortuary.

Matthew was born on Dec. 18, 1934, in Manning, to the late Matthew Sr. and Millie Ann Dingle Hilton.

He departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, in Aiken.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Neatha Summers Hilton; a daughter, Rosemary (Sammie); a son, Matthew Vashon (Cassandra); six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
