Letter to the editor: More than 1 Democrat is on the primary ballot

This is in reply to the person from Georgetown who wrote a letter to the editor on Jan. 19. I believe and agree with your whole first paragraph. That's where it stops. If I were guessing where you relocated from it would be in the general area of New Hampshire.

Your point is that "the people of South Carolina have been given the power to sway our presidential elections in a very big way." You either don't know or are being dishonest when you write that Joe Biden is running unopposed. There are two other people running against him in the Sumter area. I would guess that that is true for the rest of our state. Joseph R. Biden, Dean Phillips and Marianne Williamson are on the Feb. 3 ballot. See The Item for Jan. 17, 2024, page A1, top of the page.

You talk about Trump winning "four more years of craziness." What do you call what is going on in our country now? What has Biden done for the people of South Carolina? You are right when you talk about one party benefiting from the federal government. I am sure that Trump didn't give a rebate of $7,500 for buying a new Tesla? Trump didn't offer to pay for college tuition that others have to pay for.

Trump didn't come up with $40,000 (so far) for everyone who comes to our country illegally. Trump didn't offer to pay for people not to work.

You tell how we can make a difference, by voting as a Democrat or Independent in the Republican primary. Why, because you want to hand Donald Trump a decisive loss. This kind of dishonesty comes from people who are morally bankrupt. I guess you don't understand that. Accusing Donald Trump of something when you are the one "coming up with something" is bearing false witness to the truth. But who cares if you can get what you want. We don't need someone from Georgetown telling us what to do. We have political leaders, religious leaders and others who will inform our voters of this way of trying to destroy your political opponent. But who cares if you can get what you want.

You mention "hatred and division is ruining our country." I certainly agree. Who has taken it, not a step further, but a mile by going after his political opponent in unmoral ways?

Your girl couldn't even unite her state. I'll never vote for her again after what she cause to happen on July 10, 2015. There are other reasons but it started with what happened on that date. To tell you how honest she is, how about the following. About Apr 12th, 2021 , Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said "that she would not mount a bid for the White House in 2024 should former President Trump decide to run again." Can you explain this? I call it lying. There is more but I guess being morally bankrupt isn't a big deal if you get what you want.

The Trump trials are because of Biden and his unlawful judges. I suppose you believe that everything that we are finding out about Hunter is not true. The Democrat talking point is that there is no proof. Liars will never admit to their lies. Democrats voting for a RINO in the Republican Primary makes about as much sense as you being happy in South Carolina and wanting a RINO as president. In other words, if you like living in and appreciate a Republican state don't vote for a RINO to run it.

I hope you will consider going back to the New Hampshire area of our country so you can get back with those who think like you do.
