N.C. woman dies in Clarendon wreck

A 53-year-old North Carolina woman died early Thursday from injuries suffered in a Tuesday car accident in Clarendon County.
According to Clarendon County Coroner Bucky Mock, the victim was Marcia Pigford of Wilmington, North Carolina. She was initially transported to McLeod Clarendon Hospital before being transferred later on Tuesday to McLeod Regional Hospital in Florence. She passed away about 2 a.m. Thursday.
