ROBERT GRAHAM STAGE

Robert Graham "Bob" Stage, 86, husband of Marta Lee Phillips Stage, died on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at his home.

Born on May 31, 1934, in Santa Monica, California, he was a son of the late Joseph Colin Stage and Helen Liddel Stage. He served as a fighter pilot in the U.S. Navy and was a retired licensed building contractor. He was active in the children's Little League Baseball Program and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He attended First Presbyterian Church of Sumter.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years; two children, Robert G. "Bob" Stage II (Shirl) of Englewood, Florida, and Lisa Humphrey (Steve) of Bishopville; three grandchildren, Ashley N. Kinney (Troy), Ryan G. Stage and Jeffrey Pepper; a great-grandchild, Euphemia Kinney; a sister, Barbara Patterson of California; and a brother, Joseph Stage of California.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin D. Stage.

Services will be private.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
