Funeral services for Robert Heyward Sr. will be held at noon on Friday at Orangehill AME Church, 3035 S.C. 261 South, Wedgefield, with the Rev. Wallace Preston, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

A public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the chapel.

Robert was born on Sept. 17, 1943, in Sumter, to the late Jame and Ethel Mae James Heyward.

He departed this life on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, in Sumter.

The family is receiving friends at 963 Meadowbrook Road, Sumter.
