ROBERT LESLIE GREEN

Robert "Bobby" Leslie Green, 71, husband of Donna Meade Green, died on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at McLeod Health Clarendon in Manning.

Born on April 9, 1952, in Port Tampa, Florida, he was a son of the late Floyd Leslie Green and Eunice Virginia Pope Green. He attended New Start Community Church of the Nazarene. He served in the U.S. Army, retired from the Army National Guard, and was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. He also worked with the S.C. Forestry Commission. He enjoyed motorcycles, the outdoors and sitting around a good campfire.

Survivors in addition to his wife of 45 years include one son, Joshua Green (Crystal) of Hartsville; two grandchildren, Jasmine Green and Coleman Green; two sisters, Shirley Sok (Myron) and Linda Kay McClure, both of Sumter; a special aunt, Theresa Parker of Covington, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. on Monday at New Start Community Church of the Nazarene, officiated by the Rev. Tony Lupton and the Rev. Billy Geddings. Burial was in the Geddings Family Cemetery.

The family received friends from 4 to 5 p.m. on Monday at New Start Community Church of the Nazarene and will receive friends other times at the home.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter was in charge of the arrangements.
