SAMUEL CARR

Samuel "Stephon" Carr was born on Jan. 21, 1992, a son of Samuel Lee and the late Freddie Mae Durant Carr. Samuel, affectionately known as "Stephon," entered into his eternal rest on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024.

Stephon received his education from the Sumter School District. He graduated from Crestwood High School with the Class of 2011 and furthered his education by completing a certificate program at Arclabs Welding School in 2023. He was gainfully employed at Custom Profile in Camden, until his health began to decline. Stephon was reared at Canty Memorial Church of God In Christ, where he was a member of the youth choir.

In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. at the home of Charissa Robinson, 4099 Ollie Drive, Rembert.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Grant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 5405 Black River Road, Rembert, with the Rev. Clifton Witherspoon, pastor, and Pastor James P. Durant, eulogist.

Burial will be in Joshua Baptist Churchyard Cemetery, 5200 Live Oak Road, Dalzell.
