SARAH LORETTA GARY

Sarah Loretta Gary, 73, was born on Feb. 6, 1945, in Sumter, a daughter of the late Hosie and Elsie Fogle. She departed her earthly life on Sept. 20, 2018, at Agape Hospice in Columbia.

She attended the public schools of Sumter County, where she graduated from Lincoln High School. She was employed by the public school systems until she retired. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family and serving God to the best of her ability. Her voice, smile and kindness brought joy to everyone.

Her memories will be cherished by her daughter, Cynthia D. Gary (Craig Smith) of Sumter; her son, Curtis E. Isaac (Maggie) of Wichita Falls, Texas; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; her longtime companion, William F. Kennedy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home of her daughter, 4342 Dorsey Drive, Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with Apostle Jamell Casteal officiating, eulogist.

The funeral procession will leave the home at 1:30 p.m.
