Sumter Animal Control's Velvet is a typical puppy, loves everyone she meets

Posted

Velvet and her sister, Vivian, were brought to the shelter by officers as strays. They were found wandering on the side of the road alone. Velvet was shy and afraid at first but has been socialized by the volunteers and she is learning to walk on the leash. She is a typical puppy and loves everyone she meets. She gets along with all the other shelter dogs. Velvet weighs 30 pounds and is 4-6 months old. She is hoping to find her new family soon.

As with all of our adoptable dogs, we do require a spay or neuter agreement, and it is strictly enforced. Proof of spay/neuter after adoption will be required. We have many other adoptable dogs as well as animals who were found and are waiting for their owners to claim them. Visit the Sumter Animal Control website at savingsumterstrays.com or find them on Facebook. Call the adoption coordinator at (803) 774-3232 to set up a meet and greet or email at sumterstrays@gmail.com.
