Sumter Elks begin annual turkey shoot

Elks Lodge No. 855 will start its 37th Annual Turkey Shoot at 5 p.m. Saturday at the lodge, 1100 W. Liberty St. The shoots will run through Saturday, Dec. 29.

The public is invited to participate, and children must have adult supervision. Shotguns must have barrels not exceeding 30 inches with a 2-inch choke; no scopes or red dot sights will be permitted.

There is a $2.50 fee for each round, with shells provided by the Elks. The winner of each round will receive a $10 prize. All proceeds will benefit veterans.
