Sumter museum announces winners of essay contest

Sumter County Museum announced the winners of its annual Sumter County Museum Scholarship and Myrtis Osteen Essay Contest on Sunday, March 17. From left, beginning with the scholarship winner, followed by the first-, second- and third-place essay contest winners, are: Holden James-Jonas Trimnal of Thomas Sumter Academy; Jason Michael O'Neal of Sumter High School; Riley Wierenga of Lakewood High School; and Ka'maya Anderson of Lakewood High. The topic of the essay was "What is the value of local history to me?"
