Sumter Purple Hearts select Harry Thompson as 2024 Patriot of the Year

Sumter's Purple Heart Chapter recently selected Harry Thompson as Patriot of the Year for 2024. Patriot Thompson made significant contributions to the chapter and to active duty and retired veterans in Sumter County while serving as chapter commander. He also represented the chapter at Sumter County Veterans Association meetings and at State of South Carolina Purple Heart functions. In addition, because of his outstanding leadership and support, he was selected to serve another year as the chapter commander.
