Susan E. Green, 83, died on Monday, May 28, 2018, at McCoy Memorial Nursing Center, Bishopville.

Born on Feb. 14, 1935, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of Fred Canty Nelson and Annie Jenkins Nelson. She received her education in the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, she became a member of St. Mark - 4 Bridges Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school secretary, member of the Missionary Society and senior choir.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Moise Green Sr.; a daughter, Emma G. Rhodes; a son, Moise Green Jr.; four grandsons, Nicholas Moses, Demetrius Rhodes, Matthew Moses and Jordan Smith; one granddaughter, Tyleshia Nash; five great-grandsons, Dakota, Jaquarius, Octavious, Trevious and Micah; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 1053 Dibert St., Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at St. Mark - 4 Bridges Missionary Baptist Church, 2280 Four Bridges Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Sammie Simmons, pastor, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at noon.

The funeral procession will leave at 12:20 p.m. from the home.

Burial will be at St. Mark - 4 Bridges Missionary Baptist Churchyard cemetery.
