A wreck involving two tractor trailers has closed U.S. Hwy. 521 near Rembert Friday afternoon.
Law enforcement units are currently on scene at the highway in front of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where one truck is reportedly overturned and the power lines are down across the road, according to Ken Bell, public information officer for the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The highway is completely blocked and will “probably continue to be blocked for the next several hours.”
