Volunteers needed for litter cleanup at Pack's Landing Sept. 15

Join Keep Sumter Beautiful for the 2018 River Sweep / Beach Sweep at Pack's Landing, 9890 Pack's Landing Road, Pinewood, on Lake Marion at 9 a.m. on Sept. 15.
According to Clemson Cooperative Extension, Beach Sweep / River Sweep is South Carolina's largest one-day volunteer cleanup event. Last year, 2,675 people across the state volunteered to clean up 217 miles of land. At the end of the day, volunteers had picked up 1,856 bags of trash weighing 27,150 pounds.
