The commission administers and enforces the Auctioneers' Law in the state, which protects the public with standards of conduct and licenses auctioneers, auctioneer apprentices and auction firms.
"It is an honor to be appointed to this position," Dixon said. "I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to serving."
Dixon's company provides auction services locally, regionally and nationally. He is licensed as an auctioneer and real estate broker in South Carolina and North Carolina and is a member of MarkNet Alliance, a national network of proven auction companies that share technology, marketing resources and training.
The Clemson University graduate is a past president of the South Carolina Auctioneers Association. He is a graduate of the Certified Auctioneers Institute at Indiana University and is one of the few auctioneers in the nation to hold the Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate designation. He also holds the Certified Estate Specialist designation.
Dixon is a member of the South Carolina Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association.
