- Saturday - The 2023 S.C. State Church Women United (CWU) Assembly Annual Meeting "Labor with Love - Hands to Help" at 10 a.m. at Mt. Olive AME Church, 2738 Woodrow Road. Registration and fellowship will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Mira J. Washington, 22nd national president of Church Women United Inc., will speak.

First Baptist Missionary Church, 219 S. Washington St., announces:

- Friday, Nov. 10 - Food giveaway at 1 p.m. while supplies last.

Knitting Hearts for Christ Ministry, which meets at Bethesda Church of God, 2730 Broad St., announces:

- We will be taking November and December off. Knitting Hearts Cafe will return at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, with international Bible teacher, pastor and author Dr. Peter Wyns and his wife, Joy. The Wynses will bring a powerful, relevant, life-changing message for the New Year. Dr. Wyns is a Messianic Jew and shares the word of the Lord with prophetic insight. Also, Tiffany and Justin Coates will share about their work overseas. Continental breakfast will be included.
