MHS Alumni sponsor Brian Mance Tailgating Fundraiser

MANNING - The Manning High School Alumni are sponsoring a Brian Mance Tailgating Fundraiser from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Manning Elementary School gym, 311 W. Boyce St. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The tailgating menu will include barbecue, chicken wings, pork loin, ribs, shrimp 'n' grits, sides, desserts and much more. The fundraiser will also include a silent auction and live entertainment. Fundraiser T-shirts will also be on sale.

All the event profits and donations will be presented to Brian Mance and family to assist with his medical needs. For information on how you can volunteer, donate or participate, contact Lori McDaniel at (803) 460-4149 or Todd English at (803) 410-2799.

Tickets are on sale at Radio Shack in Manning, the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce, the Corner Diner or by calling McDaniel or English.

City of Manning sponsoring 'Just Chill' through end of July

MANNING - The City of Manning is sponsoring "Just Chill" at parks throughout the city. The next events are at 6 p.m. at Bellwood Park on July 23 and 214 E. Huggins St. on July 30. Everyone is invited to enjoy ice cream and frozen pops.

Society Hill AME Church to host Summer Revival on July 18-19

MANNING - Society Hill AME Church, 1030 Morello Road, will host its Summer Revival at 7 p.m. on July 18 and 19. The guest revivalist will be Dr. Alice Ridgill.

CSD2 serving free meals to children under age 18

MANNING - A free morning snack and lunch for all children 18 years and younger will be served Monday through Friday through July 26 at Manning Elementary School, 311 W. Boyce St. Morning snack will be served from 8 to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

No registration is required or application needed.

CSD3 serving free meals to children under age 18

Through July 18, breakfast only will be served from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. Monday through Friday at East Clarendon Middle/High School cafeteria, 1101 Pope St., Turbeville. Children under the age of 18 will be served, and all food must be eaten on site.

Back 2 School Gospel Bash set for July 27 at J.C. Britton Park

MANNING - The youth department at Fresh Fire Christian Life Center is sponsoring a Back 2 School Gospel Bash from 3 to 7 p.m. July 27 at J.C. Britton Park, 3057 Raccoon Road. Featured will be games, a bouncy house and free food. "DJ FloydB" will be playing live Christian music.

Back 2 School Bash on Aug. 17

SUMMERTON - Save the Children and the Summerton Literacy Council is sponsoring a Back 2 School Bash from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 17 at the Clarendon One Community Resource Center Gym, 1154 Fourth St. For more information, contact (803) 485-2043. Supplies will be available while they last.
