COVID-19 vaccines available today in Sumter

A free vaccination clinic will be held at R.E. Davis College Preparatory Academy, 345 Eastern School Road in Sumter, on Thursday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Attendees 5-11 can receive their first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Attendees 12 and older can receive either their first, second or booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Attendees 18 and older can receive either their first, second or booster dose of the Moderna vaccine. Adults 18 and older can also receive the Moderna vaccine or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine.
According to state public health data, 57% of eligible Sumter County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, in comparison to 76% nationally.
