Incident reports and the arrest warrants in Sumter County for the week of July 29 include obtaining property under false pretenses, malicious injury to personal property and armed robbery.

Obtaining property with counterfeit money

A 49-year-old Sumter woman and 55-year-old Dalzell man were charged with obtaining property under false pretenses, value of $2,000 or less, after allegedly using a fake $100 bill to purchase two mini bottles of whiskey.

Dena L. Latham, of Julius Lane, is accused of using counterfeit money at a store on Broad Street, while Charles Spence, of Ainsworth Drive, waited outside the store for Latham to return on July 15, according to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.

Latham was arrested on July 30. Spence was arrested on July 31.

Armed robbery, victim shot

A 22-year-old Sumter man has been charged with armed robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Raquan Shakeel Woods, of Ribbon Road, is accused of being the driver for two male minors, age 15 and 16, in an armed robbery. One of the minors shot the victim, and illegal drugs were taken during the robbery, according to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.

Woods was arrested on July 31 and is awaiting trial.
