Sumter police offer $5K reward for information in fatal Boulevard Road shooting

Sumter Police Department is offering a reward for information regarding the fatal Boulevard Road shooting on April 10.

Ray’Quan Dontrell Lamont Durant, 20, of Mooneyham Road, was shot outside of Red Bay Store on Boulevard Road at about 8:50 p.m. that Wednesday. He was pronounced dead at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital due to his injuries, according to the police department.

Officers are offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved in the shooting. Currently, officers are working to identify the driver of a gray Dodge Charger that was seen in the area near the time of the shooting.
