This is his second DWI in North Carolina on record in the last 11 years, as he was also arrested in Greensboro, N.C. on May 9, 2015, according to the state's public index.
The Sumter School District said in a statement, “The athletic director at Sumter High School was placed on administrative leave March 11, 2026, and resigned effective April 2, 2026. The position will be posted following spring break.”
