DEBORAH ANNE WILSON

Deborah Anne Wilson, of Bishopville, transitioned from this world on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026. She was born on July 31, 1954, to Mozell Hickmon and Malachi Wilson. She was a proud graduate of Thee Howard University and worked her way up from social worker to lead of the Guardian Ad Litem program covering three counties. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Lisbon Presbyterian Church, and her steps were always guided by her faith in God. Deborah was one to always fight for the underprivileged, whether it be through her occupation or speaking up within her community. She was an integral part in the WE CARE movement to get Lee Central High School built. She will forever be remembered by her son Malachi S. Wilson, her daughter-in-law Cathleen McKee and her sunshine (granddaughter) Arya Sidney Wilson, along with many, many others.
