Domestic dispute at Sumter Super 8 hotel between 6 young adults ends in 2 shot, assault and battery by mob charges

Two 17-year-olds who are still being hospitalized from gunshot wounds and four of their associates are all facing charges after an ongoing domestic dispute turned physical at the Super 8 hotel on Broad Street in Sumter.

According to Tonyia McGirt, Sumter Police Department public information officer, 21-year-old Jimmique Tyshaun Frazier, of Ginger Lane, is accused of firing the shots that injured the two teens during the incident that occurred before 2 p.m. on Saturday in the back parking lot of the hotel and has been charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The teens, Cazieh Malik Robinson, of Tupelo Lane, and Zanaya Ikeia Billie, of a different Tupelo Lane address, were both initially taken to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital before being transferred to a Columbia area hospital. Robinson is in stable condition, and Billie is in critical condition, McGirt said.

Jardaisha Shyquan Clark, 22, of Covington Street, and Kelsie Shynique Stuckey, 18, of North Guignard Drive, are each charged with third-degree assault and battery by mob. Ashley K. Davis, 19, of Tumbleweed Court, is charged with assault and battery.

All four non-hospitalized suspects were booked Saturday into the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center. McGirt said three have since been released.

According to inmate records at the detention center, Clark has not yet posted her $25,000 surety bond and has a court date set for May 3. An officer at the center, which is run by the Sumter County Sheriff's Office, said Frazier posted a $100,000 surety bond, Stuckey posted a $2,500 surety bond and Davis posted a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.

Robinson and Billie will face third-degree assault and battery by mob charges pending their release from medical treatment, McGirt said.

In South Carolina, 17-year-olds are considered adults in criminal proceedings and sentencing.

An investigation is continuing.
