Who can resist a stack of pancakes?

If you answered "Not me," don't miss the 61st-Annual Kiwanis Pancake Day at Alice Drive Middle School, 40 Miller Road, Sumter.

Enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage and help raise money for Kiwanis projects through the year.

Breakfast will be held Saturday, March 2, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., so you don't even have to be an early riser to enjoy the feast. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children (4-12 years old) and are available from any Kiwanis Club member. According to the group's Facebook page, Kiwanis International is a global community of clubs, members and partners dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time. The club has more than 550,000 members from K-Kids to Key Club to Kiwanis and many ages in between in 80 countries and geographic areas.

The local Kiwanis Club supports activities such as Safe Kids Fingerprinting, Reading Buddies, College scholarships and Camp Mac Boykin, as well as makes monetary and supply donations to schools and clubs across Sumter.
